There are between 6 and
12 daily flights between Buenos Aires (Jorge Newbery Airport) and Punta

PIRIApolis
By sea

FROM
THE AIRPORT OF Montevideo To THE CENTRE OF THE CITY
The International
Airport of Montevideo (Carrasco) is located approx. 30 Km. far from
Montevideo. To go to the
centre, you could choose between the following options:
Bus
The public transportation service goes to the airport every 15 minutes.
The ticket should be bought directly at the bus ($U 25, approx. U$S
1). Please keep in mind that
the bus only accept Uruguayan pesos, but if you need to change money, you
could do it at the Banco República (Republic Bank – BROU) or at the
arrivals’ hall at the airport (opened every day till approx. 22:00 hs.). The trip to the
centre could last almost 1 hour, taking into account the bus-stops, and
could be an uncomfortable trip (especially if you are carrying luggage)
due to the large number of people who utilize this service.
You should take
into account that the companies COT and COPSA, go past the airport towards the centre of
Montevideo, approx. every 30 minutes. This service is faster and more
comfortable though a little more expensive (approx. $U 40, or almost USD 1,50). The ticket could be bought in advance at the
offices of COT or COPSA at the arrivals’ hall at the airport (where you
could also consult the timetables). El bus COT ends at Tres
Cruces, the bus terminal of Montevideo;
COPSA enters the centre of Montevideo across
Uruguay Ave. just where is located our Arapey Hotel, and you should
get off the bus at Uruguay Ave. cross Río Branco street.
Taxi (from the Airport)
If you decide to take a
taxi, you could do it just opposite to the Arrivals sector of the Airport.
The approx. cost is U$S 21 but it’s always convenient to set the
price before. You could pay
in Uruguayan pesos or in U.S. dollars.
Car
Sea below the section rent
a car.

the display at the top front, that go across Uruguay Ave. and you should
get off when you get Río Branco street.
